Industry - excellent industrial conditions and energetic industrial activities

Based on tits characteristics, Shirasawa is carrying out unique policies to enhance its industry. In agriculture, for example, Shirasawa focuses on "compound management" - combination of rice (main) and various agricultural products, and "15th version of industry" - the village produces other new products from local ones. Searching for an ideal management in agriculture for future generations, we are involved in many activities, including training farmers. Meanwhile, Shirasawa aims at forming an industrial zone because the village is convenient for highways and local roads connecting with neighboring cities. We will develop comprehensive policies: improve industrial complexes, assist existing businesses and invite new businesses to set up. This may be a driving force to revive the village. Our commerce, targeting on "contribution to the local area", is also working to reenergize and expand local shopping malls.

VOICE　ちょっと一言 産業にも独自の方向性を 磯松　等さん（和田字学校前） 　白沢村のいいところは、恵まれた自然を大事にしながら村づくりを進めているところ。産業の面でも、このような白沢村ならではのポリシーみたいなものが確立されると、もっともっと活気のある村になるんじゃないかな。私は商店を営んでいるので、個人的には商業の発展のため頑張りたいですね。
