生産性の向上と雇用促進をめざす商工業。大越町では「牧野工業団地」をはじめとする用地整備や企業誘致にも積極的に取り組んでいます。また将来的には福島空港を核とする、あぶくま新高原都市ゾーンの一角を担う地域としても注目を集めています。

石灰石の採掘では県内唯一、東北でも有数の鉱山を持つおおごえ。カルスト台地から採れる石灰石を生かした工業はもちろん、商業では人びとが楽しく集い、町並みに溶けこむ商店街づくりをめざすなど、地域に密着した働く環境づくりが着々と進められています。

Industry (Business and Manufacturing)

Ogoe's commercial sector strives to achieve higher productivity and employment figures. Including the Makino Industrial Housing Complex, the town is arranging land lots to aggressively attract industries. Ogoe also has been attracting much attention as a part of the Abukuma heighlands-city plan.

We have the only limestone mining operation in the prefecture and one of only a very few in the entire Tohoku region. Besides the advancement of industries that make use of the unique white limestone to be found here, we are also promoting a workplace that is rooted in this area, a place where people can come together, and a place where the businesses blend into the town.
