Hobara is also famous for its fruit． Fukushima prefecture′s fame in this area is largely due to Hobara′s production of peaches，apples，grapes， persimmons，and plums．Peaches top the list with an annual harvest of over　4000　tons．In recent years， strawberries grown in green houses have also been produced．A new brands of potatoes named Roman Club and Hana Roman are also being produced in Hobara．
