新時代の保原めざして

　保原町は、明治以来数次の合併 によって現在のまちが形成されま した。この間、多くの先輩方が難 局をのり越えながら、産業や教育 の振興、医療や福祉の充実に熱心 にとり組んでこられました。

　こうした先人、先輩方の努力の 上に今日の保原町があることに、 改めて敬意を表します。

　さて、21世紀を迎えたいま、社 会、経済は大きく変動し、保原町 を取りまく環境も変化し続けてお ります。私たちはいま、これまで の保原町を土台に、新しい時代の 保原町を創っていかなければなり ません。

　まちも町民もいきいきと輝く、 魅力ある保原をめざして、町民と 行政が共に考え、共に働き、良き パートナーとして歩んでいきたい と考えております。

　あったかい、元気なひとと美し い自然が、必ずやたくましい未来 をひらいていくものと信じており ます。

　この要覧では、新時代を迎える 保原町の姿をありのままに映しま した。この要覧を通して、保原の 未来の姿を思い描いていただけれ ば幸いでございます。

First of all，�T would like to thank all our ancestors and people who created the foundation for this precious and beautiful town of Hobara.

Since the Meiji era，neighboring villages were absorbed into the present day town．Many obstacles such as war and natural disasters had to be overcome all the while promoting industry， education，social welfare，and medical services．

Now，in the　21st century，society and the economy are changing quickly．The partnership between thelocal administration and the town′s people is strong and motivated to work hard for a brighter future．

Hobara is entering a newage．As I describe the present state of Hobara I do hope that，through this book，you will be able to see the bright future that lies ahead for Hobara．
