高松山観音寺初寅祭

岩角山二の寅祭・岩角山節分祭

　ともに岩角山の恒例行事。それぞれ二月最初の寅の日と節分の日に開催され、 毎年おおぜいの人で賑わいます。

春

芽吹きの季節が、よろこびを運んできて、私たちの心に大きな花を咲かせます。
Spring buds trees, brings happiness to us and opens a big flower in our mind.

弥生（三月）

諏訪神社獅子舞

　祭礼で奉納される優美な獅子舞。太郎獅子、次郎獅子、雌獅子、岡獅子に加え、ささら持ち二名の計六名によるもので、古くから氏子の長男(小学生)が演じる習わしがあります。

春季例大祭・浮島神社の太々神楽

　太々神楽は古くから伝わる神聖な演舞で、村の春を告げる浮島神社の例大祭に 奉納されます。明治維新までは、近郷の神職たちが集い、その持ち芸として神楽 を舞っていましたが、その後氏子に伝授され、現在は保存会によって大切に継承 されています。太鼓、能管、笛などの雅やかな音色に合わせた演舞は、古代の伝 説を基にしたもの。県内でも伝承の確かな太々神楽のひとつとして、県の重要無 形民俗文化財に指定されています。

FEBRUARY

[Takamatsuyama Kannonji Hatsutorasai]
On the evening of the first lion day of the year in the old Japancse calendar, local people visit and dedicate bonten (Brahma god) and offerings.

[Iwatsunosan Ninotorasai/Iwatsunosan Setsubunsai]
Both are customary events in Iwatsunosan. They are performed on the first lion day of February and on Setsubunsai (the day before the beginning of spring) respectively.

MARCH

[Suwa Jinja Shishimai]
This graceful lion dance is performed by six players, tarojishi, jirojishi, mesujishi, okajishi and two sasara.

APRIL

[Grand Spring Festival, Daidaikagura in Ukishima Jinja]
Based on ancient stories, Daidaikagura is a sacred dance passed down over the centuries and performed with a refined tune of the drum, pipe and flute, at a festival of UKishima Jinja (the shrine Ukishima). Spring comes to the village when the festival is held. The dance is designated as "an important, intangible folk and cultural asset" by the prefecture.
