第3章　パラグラフ・リーディングの活用例
1　高校入試編
(1)　高校入試における長文問題:新傾向(パラグラフ・リーディングが必要)に注目
平成11年度の高校入試には長文問題が3問あります。その内訳は次のようになっています。

	文体	設問のポイント	話題
大問4	口語体(話し言葉)	会話の流れを問う	環境問題に関わる異文化体験
大問5	文語体(書き言葉)	文章全体のテーマや各パラグラフの要点を問う	国際理解
大問6	口語体と文語体のミックス	総合問題	バリア・フリー(機械と人間との関わり)

従来の本県の問題とは異なり、大問毎に文体が明瞭に使い分けられています。また、大問毎に設問のポイントも違っています。ここでは「文章全体のテーマや各パラグラフのポイントを問う」、つまり明らかにパラグラフ・リーディングと関わりのある大問5に注目してみましょう。

それでは、大問5について、パラグラフ・リーディングをどのように活用したらよいか考えていきましょう。
