5.Oral introduction of this part. (4)Teacher explains the content of this part in English.
Ming and Joe are talking. Joe studies very hard every day. Because he wants to be a translator. Do you know the meaning of "translator"? Please raise your hand who wants to be a translator? TV star? or policeman? So Joe studies Japanese and English hard. Which subject do you study hard? Ming said to joe. "You don't have to study so hard.・・・
・Though this part is presented through conversational style, teacher tries to explain the content in English. So those students who have already grasped the content may be interested in the oral introduction.
・Teacher should avoid looking at the script or textbook so that students feel the teachier is speaking to them instead of reading th script.
・In each question during the explanation, theacher should call on the students who are in the various ranks.
Teacher:
☆Students listen to the explanation carefully and try their best to understand the content.

6.Explanation (5)Teacher explains only those points which are impotant for the students to understand the content. ・Though tis is an explanation stage, Teacher should try to provide questions and give students a chance to answer. 10
7.Comprehension of the materials through written question format. (6)To check students' understanding and deepen their knowledge of the content. Teacher prepares two types of sheet, one is written in English and the other is written in Japanese. So students can choose the sheet which is appropriate for their level. Focus o fthe questions on boh sheets is exactly the same. ・It is not easy for a lower level student to answer the questions if they are written in English, even if the student has already understood the meaning. Hence we can't judge their understand level correctly.
・During this activity, teacher walks around the class and helps those students who need help.
・Teacher calls on ome students and has them give their answers.

☆about the classmates who communicated with him/her.
8.Assignment (7)Teacher gives the assignment. It requires students to imagine a appropriate situation and make a conversation using "have to, don't have to". ・Students may do this homework with a partner if h/she wants. Since thinking of an appropriate situation is not easy for low ability students. 2
